Ms. Theong May Chuan is my Industrialised Building System (IBS) module's (BLD 61103) lecturer. The credit hours for this module is 3. This module provides an overview of Industrialised Building System (IBS) in the construction industry and its implications towards the nation’s economic growth in the aspect of business involvement and costing. Emphasis is placed on independent research, self-developed project plan and the application of existing and new knowledge and skills.
Through this module, I'm able to

Assignment 1 - review about ibs
I had chosen the topic "IMPACTS OF INDUSTRIALISED BUILDNIG SYSTEM FOR EMPLOYMENT" as my literature review. I'm able to show my awareness, understanding and concern to the trend of the construction industry with the adoption of IBS method of construction on this selected topic.
assignment 2 - factory report
We had a site visit to Swissma Industries. Mr. Alex gave us a brief information about the background of Swissma while Mr. Peter explained the manufacturing process of steel sheets and also installation of roof sheets by bringing us around the factories.

assignment 3 - business plan
We are requested to explore the types of business opportunities in the IBS market and to prepare a business plan as a stakeholder. We need to prepare a business plan on to discuss on the nature and goals of business, factors that affect the business’ opreations, decision on the kinds of production, production method, marketing strategies and cost budgetary. Our campany is named "G-Steel Formwork Installation Sdn. Bhd."
