Building Services II module (BLD60503) is also lectured by Dr. Kam Kenn Jhun. I'm able to know the services that are commonly provided in a building such ad mechanical air-conditioning system, fire protection system, vertical transprotation system and electricity generation and supply system. We are also made familiar with basis requirements, Uniform Building By-Law (UBBL), planning, coordination and installation of these services. Through this module, I'm able to explain principles, systems, space implications and regulations related to mechanical air-conditioning, fire safety, electricity supply and vertical transportation.

site visit in campus
On 8 April 2015, we had a site visit in Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. A maintenance officer was requested to bring us to visit the mechanical and air-conditioning system in our campus. He introduced and explained the components and functions of the system to us. I had visited the AHU Room, Chiller Room, Cooling Tower and others. After this site visit, I learned a lot of knowledge about mechanical air-conditioning system which I cannot learn from books or notes.

aSSIGNMENT - CASE STUDY
Our group members who are Cecilia Tie, Lau Sii, Vivian Tan, Stephanie Yeoh, Cassandra Wong and Haziq had chosen First Subang Mall as our case study. We are requested to observe and comment on the building services systems in this building. The First Subang Mall is consisting two office towers, five floors of parking and three retail floors. We had visited three retail floors which are including supermarket, bank, restaurants, and KTV rooms only because we are unable to access the office towers without any permission.
