Mr. Lai Chee Kin is my financial management module's (QSB 60203) lecturer. This is a 3 credit hours module. The moduce is introduced to management practices which covers both financial and organizational aspects in relation to construction projects. The module will emphasize on the examination of resource-use systems, particularly the finances of a construction project as well as the management of important resources in ensuring quality performance from the project stuff. Furthermore, will be exposed to various terms of finance, which cover financial information systems and capital investments.

A group of 6 members were formed to complete this assignment. Mr. Lai requested us to perform a financial analysis of Sycal Ventures Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. We needed to download, read and analyse the last five years Sycal Ventures Berhad's annual report.

We used the information that we can get from its annual reports and prepared a written report which evaluating the financial strength of Sycal Ventures Berhad. Through this assignment, I've learnt how to calculate and analyse the financial ratios such as liquidity ratios, activity ratios, debt ratios, profitability ratios and market value ratios. In addition, we were also requested to present our analysis report.
